Welcome to New Partner

During the Steering Committee Meeting held in Brussels last April the incorporation of The Jerzy Haber Institute of Catalysis and Surface Chemistry Group at the Polish Academy of Sciences, (JHI) in Krakow (Poland) was approved. JHI, led by Professor Łukasz Bratasz, will contribute to WP1 given their considerable experience in international standardization for conservation of cultural heritage, risk assessment and development of preservation strategies for heritage institutions). JHI will also work closely with KADK, UPV and TU/e in WP2 for the development of an optimal finite element analysis (FEA) of moisture transport and dynamic stress and strain fields in canvas paintings. In addition, JHI will work together with all partners to integrate and validate the developed algorithm for degradation evaluation in canvas paintings into the cloud-based platform (WP5) as well as in all demonstration and dissemination activities (WP6 and 7).
