Innovative and affordable service for the Preventive Conservation monitoring of individual Cultural Artefacts during display, storage, handling and transport

CollectionCare Team members

On July 30-31st, 2019 the School of Conservation at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts (KADK) hosted the Partnership Workshop that gathered all partner institutions and the Advisory Board members in Copenhagen (Denmark). During the two full days workshop, several preventive conservation scenarios where analyzed and stimulated the discussion around the information previously obtained in tasks T1.1 – 1.4  (establishment of the baselines for CollectionCare preventive conservation system, identification of historical artwork data and preliminary selection of artworks for validation and demonstration, definition of requirements of CollectionCare wireless technology and cloud computing for big data technology, etc). The aim of the workshop was both to ensure that the information obtained from the above-mentioned tasks was correct and to set the guidelines for the development of the core WPs of the project. At the same time, it was also the opportunity to suggest improvements where considered appropriate. This common understanding will be compiled in a report (D1.5) to be delivered by the end of August and will feed into the work of WP2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.
